Why are the deputies so nasty, so ignorant, and so lawless?
Martin Luther King summed it up: “Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance & conscientious stupidity”.
Until they are better trained and better supervised and their leadership removed for corruption, they will simply be ignorant sheep who follow the leader of the dog pack without thinking, no matter how lawless are the orders of their supervisors.
There was a time that i actually thought police “sheriffs” were here to “serve and protect”…Now i no better. They are nothing more than “gangsters with a license to kill”! No matter WHAT happens to me i will never call police, i teach my children the same rule. The police are no longer “the good guys” but are an organized crime lerking and making Illinois a shameful place to live.

Well said, except that I have met a few very appropriate and well-educated deputies. I give credit where credit is due. Deputy Sheriff Shephard of the Sheriff’s Police helped me in Chicago last night when correctional officers at Cook County Jail were acting as ignorant, threatening thugs with foul language like a hungry dog pack. The correctional officers and I’m talking about 10-20% of the guards, 75 % of the Sergeants and 90% of thye Lieutenants and Captains are malicious, sadistic, psychopaths who have been abusing not only the inmates, but stealing money, assaulting detainees, violating civil rights with impunity, supervising the murder and maiming of inmates and should be hung frankly. D/S Shepard assisted in protecting me from them and investigating what I was complaining about in a VERY professional manner. Lt. Queen is an outstanding professional officer who should be given the utmost respect. She saved me once from suffocation when officers were abusing me. D/S Martin and Nolan in court services have always acted in the utmost professional manner. Most of the rest are guard dogs. I was held on the floor by guard dogs Connally and Ruiz while dog Levy kicked me with her boots and I will post the pictures shortly. I was beaten viciously by several Chicago Police and I am going to post the pictures. A tall blong with a pony tail who is a sadist and psychopath and is located right now on the 2nd shift on 2W grabbed my pony tail and bashed my head against the wall. Sgt. Anthony Salemi grabbed me by the neck in my wheelchair, then assaulted me and flipped me out of my wheelchair. I will post the nurses notes about bruises, etc. soon. He then falsified his records, committed perjury accusing me of “bumping” him with my wheelchair and I was wrongfully and maliciously convicted by a jury biased by the judicial misconduct of Judge Joseph Kazmierski – a real creep who makes you think he will be fair – NEVER TRUST HIM! – as well as by Nifong like prosecutorial misconduct of ASA Andrew Dalkin and John Maher – you wont sing with the Supreme’s guys! We will prove their crimes and eventually have them held accountable. They are blood thirst bullies.
